Safety Center
MisyarMatch is built on trust. These guidelines exist to protect every member of our community.
Red Flags Guide
These are warning signs that a person's intentions may not be sincere. Trust your instincts. If you notice any of these, skip, block, or report.
Refuses to involve your wali
Any man who insists on keeping the marriage secret from your family or wali is a red flag. A valid nikah requires a wali for the bride. Resistance to this is a serious warning sign.
Pushes to meet privately before nikah
Suggesting a private meeting before any formal arrangement is contrary to Islamic etiquette. All meetings should be chaperoned or in a public space.
Vague or evasive about his circumstances
If he cannot clearly state whether he is married, divorced, studying, or financially ready — that is evasion, not modesty. Honest men state their circumstances clearly.
Pressures you to move quickly
Urgency is a manipulation tactic. A sincere man seeking misyar will understand that you need time to make an informed, faith-aligned decision.
Asks for money or financial help
Any request for money, gift cards, or financial assistance is a scam. Report immediately.
Inconsistent stories or details
If his location, name, occupation, or family situation keeps changing — trust your instinct. Consistency is a basic marker of honesty.
Disrespects Islamic boundaries in chat
Inappropriate language, sexual pressure, or disrespect for your Islamic values in early conversation is a clear indicator of his true intentions.
Safety Tips
Never share your full name, address, or workplace early
Your display name is a nickname for a reason. Keep personal identifying information private until you have established trust over time.
Involve your wali from the start
Your wali (guardian) is a protection, not a barrier. Involving family early filters out men who are not serious.
Use the platform's messaging — not personal numbers
Keep all communication on MisyarMatch until you are ready to proceed. This protects your privacy and keeps a record if needed.
Trust your instinct
If something feels wrong, it probably is. Allah gave you intuition. Use it. You can skip, block, or report at any time — no explanation needed.
Do not send photos outside of the platform
Profile photos on MisyarMatch are controlled by you. Never send personal photos via external apps to someone you have not verified.
Verify before you meet
Before any in-person meeting, ensure your wali is involved, the meeting is in a public place, and someone you trust knows where you are.
Community Guidelines
"O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness." — Quran 5:8
Sincerity of intention
MisyarMatch is exclusively for those seeking halal misyar marriage. Using this platform for casual encounters, entertainment, or haram purposes is a violation of our community standards and, more importantly, a violation of Islamic ethics.
Honesty in your profile
Your profile must reflect your real circumstances. False information about your marital status, age, location, or intentions will result in immediate removal.
Respectful communication
All communication must be respectful, purposeful, and within Islamic etiquette. Inappropriate language, sexual content, harassment, or intimidation will result in immediate banning.
No photos or video in Speed Chat
The Speed Chat feature is text-only by design. Attempting to share photos, links to external video, or personal contact information during Speed Chat sessions is prohibited.
Age requirement
All users must be 18 or older. Any attempt to circumvent age verification will result in permanent removal and, where applicable, reporting to relevant authorities.
Report, don't retaliate
If you encounter a user who violates these guidelines, use the report function. Do not engage in retaliation or public shaming. Let the platform handle it.
Need to report something serious?
If you feel unsafe, threatened, or have encountered criminal behaviour, contact local authorities immediately.
